KIDS DRAW ARCHITECTURE SKETCHES

Kids Draw Architecture is a program of the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara that Cass Ensberg designed and implemented over 25 years ago. The program is a way for children and young adults to learn about and appreciate the importance of design in the built environment – through sketching the beautiful public buildings and gardens of Santa Barbara. Each spring two free sketch sessions are held each at an important public building where participants are given paper, pencil, a beautiful site, and encouragement to sketch. Drawings are collected, a calendar created, and a year end show and reception held at the Architectural Foundation Gallery. These are some of Cass’ sketches from Kids Draw Sessions over the years.
